Business Micros (Aluminium) Ltd Links Up with Universal

Universal Aluminium has become the latest aluminium systems company to switch to the LogiKal software system, distributed exclusively in the UK and Ireland by Business Micros (Aluminium) Ltd.

Universal has completed the data set required for LogiKal which means its existing and prospective customer base of specialist architectural glazing companies across the country can now begin using LogiKal for all their estimating and production.

Universal is unusual in the aluminium sector in that it has its own specialist fabrication division at its Bristol headquarters which has already implemented LogiKal, having completed an in-house programming project.

Carl Richards, the company's Technical Director, is delighted with its performance. He says: ‘The key benefit for us of LogiKal is in its automated drawing capability. Users simply enter details of a quote and the drawings are carried out almost instantly, vastly reducing the work required from the drawing office.

‘We reviewed all of the aluminium software packages on the market before choosing LogiKal and it has certainly proved the right choice. We envisage that it will bring major advantages to our customers, reducing lead times and helping to make them even more competitive.’

Previously, Universal customers used the Business Micros Quest software package but LogiKal has proved itself much more capable and user friendly.

Business Micros (Aluminium) has announced a series of tie ups with major aluminium systems companies in recent months and plans to continue investing in LogiKal so that the appropriate data sets are universally available.
