R Freeman Starts Fourth Job in a Row for Contractor R Durtnell
Metal roofing and cladding company T R Freeman is starting its fourth
job in a row for contractor R Durtnell Sons.
This time, the Cambridge based business is fitting a £350,000
Kalzip roof to the old swimming pool building at Dulwich College in
London.
The works consist of the construction of new economics and careers facilities,
staff and pupil changing rooms with a café, mezzanine level and
two storey six form common room.
There will be four different aluminium roof areas, each with either
a wave form or vaulted roof design together with colour co-ordinated
fascias and gutters.
Gary Webb, managing director of T R Freeman, said: 'Were most
proud when the same contractors award work to us time and time again.
Its proof of T R Freemans expertise in metal roofing, and
demonstrates we have found the right balance of price and quality.
'This is another impressive project and were delighted to be working
with R Durtnell on it.'
Dulwich College is an independent fee-paying public school in the suburb
of south-east London. It was founded in 1619, and now has 1,600 pupils.
T R Freeman has been in Cambridge since being formed 120 years ago and
is part of the Kershaw Group.
The group employs 183 people with a turnover of £35 million. Its
heavily involved in the local community, including a sponsorship of
Cambridge Uniteds away shirts.
R Durtnell Sons is considered to be the UKs oldest builder.
It has been trading continuously for more than 400 years, and has been
handed down father-to-son for 12 generations.
