Metal Technology Gains Secure by Design Accreditation

Metal Technology has achieved Secure by Design accreditation for its 4-20 (casement) and 5-20 (Tilt & Turn) window systems. This confirms that these products were successfully tested to the technical standards endorsed by ACPO CPI Ltd.

Secure by Design’s purpose is to provide guidance on how to establish and maintain a safe and secure environment, not only in domestic dwellings but also in the commercial, health, education and retail sectors. Secure by Design (SBD) aims to achieve security for the building shell and to introduce appropriate design features that enable natural surveillance and create a sense of ownership and responsibility for every part of the development.

Metal Technology has carried out a number of successful projects to approved Secure by Design standards and can offer technical support and guidance, in conjunction with the local Police Architectural Liaison Officers, on how to approach an individual project.
