Euroclad Provides All Round Solution
A striking finish has been created for Dundee University
Institute of Sport and Exercise using Euroclad's LINEAR façade
system which offers incredible design flexibility.
The
project has been under development for several years and the latest edition
is the 'Drum', an elliptical extension which unusually houses rectangular
studios. The shape was designed to accommodate the escape stairs situated
at each end of the building and forms the front of the campus establishing
the buildings identity.
Euroclad's LINEAR rainscreen cladding was specified for this project as
it allowed the building designer and contractor complete design freedom.
The system is made up of a series of cassette panels that are fixed to
the vertical support rails, making the installation straight forward.
LINEAR systems utilise metal composite materials, including aluminium,
which offer superior flatness and excellent rigidity. Systems can be installed
in wet and dry jointed variations.
Ron McHoul, Project Architect at Nicoll Russell Studios comments; 'After
much research we specified a product which could meet our requirements
in terms of panel size and 'one piece' panelling, the cladding by Euroclad
was selected as both aesthetically pleasing and meeting our technical
requirements.'
Euroclad's LINEAR Façade Systems offer superior build speed and
convenience, and are available in a range of metals, colours and patterns.
Bespoke systems in any metals are also available and are manufactured
using sophisticated computer controlled technology, allowing Euroclad
to produce almost anything that can be drawn. LINEAR panels are available
in any module size up to 1475mm x 6000mm. For further information please
