CAB Set to Appoint Technical Support Officer
The Council for Aluminium has grown significantly in
the last few years which has lead to an increase in expert support to
the aluminium in building supply chain. In order to fulfil this growing
demand CAB is creating the new and exciting role of Technical Support
Officer. The position carries a highly attractive package with enormous
scope for the right person to make the role their own.
Based at the CAB offices at Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, the successful
candidate, who be joining a small dynamic team, will have a good awareness
of the relevant standards and regulations and the ability to gather knowledge
from a broad range of industry sources. The role will also offer the candidate
the opportunity to represent CABs members interests on several Government
and Associated Expert Organisations.
A key strength and backbone of CAB over recent years has been the ability
to provide excellent technical support especially in standards, regulations
and best practice. A major factor in CABs dynamic growth has been
its high level of competency and service to its members, who know that
good technical support increases their competitive advantage in the market
place. This year CAB is enhancing this further contract seminars as well
as a full programme of regional events.
As construction standards and regulations become increasingly complex
and more numerous CAB prides itself on being at the forefront of knowledge
in the use of aluminium in the industry. By being active on many of the
committees which develop these standards, both in the UK and Europe, CAB
is able to involve members through its technical committees and groups
and ensure their opinions and concerns are heard where it matters most.
