Seeking New Pastures?

Here we are ready to handle all those queries at Interbuild from PVC fabricators seeking new pastures, architects and specifiers wondering how they can best use aluminium, and now the EC is trying to inflict a Green Public Procurement (GPP) policy on us that is based on North American and other non-European sources!

Alright, so that is a bit tongue in cheek but it does reflect the slightly surreal situations we find ourselves in as politicians, academia and others leap on the 'Green Bandwagon'. Aluminium has great credentials as a construction material with its durability, formability, aesthetic potential and excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Moreover it is a valuable asset right through to its end-of-life so landfill is not an issue and it can be recycled...and recycled...and recycled....endlessly with no loss of properties.

Having recently taken part in a USA Aluminium Association green issues workshop and the latest Federation of European Window and Curtain Walling Manufacturers' Associations (FAECF) deliberations on that GPP document mentioned above I am delighted to tell you that we are not alone in challenging some of the more outrageous and unworkable proposals emanating from those who would dictate our futures.

Take heart and come and see us at Interbuild to share your frustrations!
